Final Ranking of the Recipes

This post is a final ranking of the six student-friendly recipes that are found within the blog. I agree that all the recipes are student-friendly, but I find that some of the recipes are better than others. Before we go through this ranking, I want to give a quick reminder of what makes a recipe student-friendly.

Student-friendly recipes should be:

  • It takes less than 30 minutes to prepare.
  • Ingredients must be inexpensive and easy to find.
  • Was the recipe easy to follow
  • Does the recipe allow for substitutions
  • Does the final product taste good

Now that we got that out of the way, we will be ranking each recipe in its mealtime categories, such as breakfast food, lunch, and dinner.

The overnight oats recipe would be my #1 pick for breakfast. On the student-friendly checklist, this recipe received a score of 5/5. When you are racing to get to class or work, this recipe is a great option for a quick grab-and-go meal. This recipe's flexibility and ability to use a multitude of different components made it another thing that I truly liked. Since I found this recipe, it has become a staple in my life and makes eating breakfast simple.

Since both of these recipes were rated 5/5, choosing my top option for lunch was challenging. The egg roll-in-a-bowl lunch meal, despite having an equal rating, was the one I went with. Since this dish may be eaten cold, I chose it since it would be simple to carry it in a lunchbox. The turkey soup recipe has the drawback that you cannot reheat it if there is no microwave or cooktop available, making it difficult to eat lunch on the fly. I really enjoy the egg roll-in-a-bowl recipe; during the academic year, I eat it virtually every week.

Since the tomato vodka rigatoni recipe is in my top slot, my top option for dinner could be viewed as debatable. It's vital to highlight how simple and delicious this recipe is, despite the fact that it only received a 4/5 rating. After a long, stressful day, I personally enjoy cooking a warm, comfortable supper and eating it in the comfort of my home. This recipe provides that experience. Although there are ways to adapt this dish to fit all diets and limitations such as nondairy and lactose alternatives, it cannot tolerate a huge number of substitutions, which is a limiting factor of the recipe.

Therefore, the egg roll in a bowl, the tomato vodka rigatoni, and the overnight oats are my top three blog dishes. I definitely encourage looking at those recipes if you haven't already. I have gained a lot of knowledge about cooking and healthy eating, and I hope that my blog will show you all that there are recipes available that even a busy student can enjoy!
